What is hidden within a cave? What are the secrets that are held there, or the beauty?
Questions we ask but are sometimes too scared to find out. Will I get blocked in there? Will the tide rush in to fast and not allow me to escape? Our mind finds new ways to put all manner of thoughts into our heads that at times can be frightening.
But there is a mysterious beauty about a cave. The way the sea has caressed the rock over time and slowly but surely carved away a niche. Stroked the rock with its lapping waves and crystal waters. While the rock stood steadfast refusing to move, the regular visits of the incoming tide forced the rock to relent ever so slightly to create a pathway and thus the waters slowly but carefully ventured just that little bit further each time to create a secret oasis.
When I look at the mouth of a cave I imagine beauty and hidden solace. A place to hide my secret thoughts, A place to scream and let go of my frustrations and because the rock has allowed the cave to be there, I know that my secrets are safe.
